Asics USA has committed Sam Burley to compete in the Asics Blue Shoes Mile in April at the Furman Invitational, according to elite mile coordinator Mickey McCauley.
\"Sam is a 2003 graduate of University of Pennsylvania,\" said McCauley. \"He has personal best times of 1:45.39 for 800-meters, 3:51.38 for 1500-meters. Sam was the 2003 NCAA 800-meter champion and a 5-time NCAA All-American.\"
The meet includes high school competition in the morning, the elite mile and open Blue Shoes miles, followed by college competition. Also taking place that day is the Furman 5k at 9 a.m.
