  • The meet started in 1983 and was 2.84 miles by Jim Kilbreth and Jack Todd.
  • Area schools share the duties of directing the county meet
  • Spartanburg sets up the course. Dorman handles entries, timing and results. 
  • Broome coordinates awards and presentation. 
  • Dorman will use 12 parents to help manage the finish chute
  • It takes about one hour of work with six people to prepare team packets. 
  • Meet times used to be hand-entered in the computer, now times are downloaded from a watch directly to computer program.
