What does it mean to be named to the Shrine Bowl Run team and helping the hospital?
It is a great honor and I am looking forward to the experience.

What did you hear about the Shrine Bowl Run before this year?
It is a great cause and a privilege to join in the ranks of the runners I have looked up to.

What do you hope to experience on Dec. 20?
I hope to get to know some of my competitors better.

How are you preparing to run with a football?
I am thinking of it just as if I am running the 4x8.

How would you rate your senior season?
It has been great to see my team improve so much this season and I could not be happier with our performances. I am excited to see what they can accomplish next year.

What future goals do you have?
I hope to explore my range of talent in a wider variety of events and I hope to keep improving.

Have you made the decision to compete at the next level? Please explain.
Yes, I am very excited to complete at the collegiate level but I have not committed to a school yet.

How did you get involved with the sport and when?
I started doing Girls on the Run when I was in elementary school but stopped running once I got to middle school. Then, in eighth grade, some of my friends joined the track team so I followed along and have kept with the sport.

Do you have any relation or know someone that has attended the Shriners Hospital?
No, no relation.

How have you seen the sport change in the state? Please explain.
I have seen South Carolina runners become much more competitive, especially the girls, and it is great. South Carolina is now getting more national recognition and happy with the improvements we have made.

What was your motivation for your final XC season?
I am motivated by my team. All of my teammates are inspiring and I want to be the best runner I can be for them.

If there is one thing in the world you could do, what would it be and why?
I would run ultra marathons because I love running really long distances.
