What made you decide to commit to Clemson?
I committed to Clemson because it has an incredible track program and outstanding academics. My official visit was awesome, I can see myself there for the next four years.

What were your other top choices?
North Carolina A&T State University and Winthrop University.

What do you hope to achieve in academics and athletics?
I hope to earn a bachelor degree in business and to continue to excel as a college student-athlete.

What did you experience during each visit?
On each visit I got to know the coaches and the athletes and learned more about their track programs. This information helped me determine which college would be the best fit for me.

What would you recommend to others when choosing a college?
I recommend going on all the college visits with an open mind and looking at what the school has to offer you both academically and athletically.

What does it feel like to have the decision made?
It's a huge relief to have the recruiting process completed. It's also exciting knowing where I'll be spending the next four years as a college student athlete.

What do you hope to achieve this spring?
I hope to maintain my state championship title in the 800 meter run. As well as win the state championship with my 4x400 relay team.

Looking at your career at Hillcrest, what will you remember the most?
I will remember my 2014 state championship win and Coach Drique who helped me achieve that goal.

What individuals in your life were involved in helping you make the decision?
My parents and Coach Drique Heyward.
