How did you get involved in the sport and why?
I got involved in track because as a kid I would race my friends and always win. Also, all of my brothers ran track so that motivated me.

How have you seen it change?
I’ve seen it change in competition. There is more competition now.

How do you feel you have grown in the sport?
I feel as if I have grown faster and smarter about the sport.

What has been your motivation for this season?
My motivation for this season is to get a third state championship ring and to be named the fastest kid in the one hundred meter dash.

What goes throughout your mind as the gun is getting ready to go as you are waiting in the blocks or starting line?
As I’m waiting in my block getting ready for the gun to sound, my mind is thinking, “You can win this. Just keep pushing through to the end and don’t give up.”

Do you have a pre race tradition? Please explain.
Yes, my pre-race tradition is to stretch, get my block ready, if possible, and just think.

How would you rate your season so far?
I would rate my season so far as pretty good.

Do you have any family members involved in the sport? Please explain.
I don’t have any involved in college track, but I do have some in high school.

What challenges have you encountered in the sport?
A challenge I’ve encountered is racing for positions on relays.

Have you ever been injured? Please explain.
Yes, I pulled my hip last season.

What do you hope to achieve in the sport and in life in the future?
I hope to be the best at what I do in the sport and at life.

Do you have post season track plans?
I don’t have any right now.

What is your favorite workout and why?
My favorite workout is sprints because you can test your speed against others.

What goals have you set for the rest of the season?
My goal is to beat my brother’s time in the 400 which was a 49.19.

Looking at the 2014 state meet, what do you remember and how did that make you prepare for the 2015 state meet?
At the 2014 state meet I remember I was just coming back off an injury, and it was my choice whether to run in the meet or not. I ran in the event and helped us win. This prepared me by making me achieve if I believed I could do something.

If there is one thing in the world you could do, what it would it be and why?
If there is one thing I could do it would be to go to Mammoth Mountain. I would go there to snowboard because I have always wanted to. Where I live it rarely snows, so it would be exciting.
