Meet management announced today Wendy's Invitational has been canceled due to expected inclement weather in the Charlotte area.

"Based on the weather forecasts for prolonged heavy rain and the potential for flooding (McAlpine Cross Country Course sits between McAlpine and Irvins creeks), the recommendations from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools athletic director, Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation staff, and discussions with our meet directors at Providence, East Mecklenburg, and Marvin Ridge, I feel it is the safest and best course of action to cancel the Wendy's Invitational for 2015. This was an extremely difficult decision for me, but ultimately my primary concern was for the safety of those traveling to the meet," meet management said in a statement.
