Jasmin Stowers won her second-straight 100-meter hurdles national title Sunday with a win at USATF Youth Nationals in Charlotte. Stowers finished in 13.72 (W2.4) seconds in the finals. Larissa Matthews (The Arizona) was second in 14.07.
Stowers won her first national 100-meter hurdles title June 20 at Nike Outdoor Nationals in Greensboro, N.C. in 14.05 seconds.
Nelson second in 400, teammate Lauren Ellis fourth
Briana Nelson finished second in the girls intermediate 400-meter dash at USATF Youth Outdoor Nationals in Charlotte Sunday. Nelson finished in 53.82 seconds with Quick Striders teammate Lauren Ellis fourth in 54.96.
Pendleton's Jasmin Stowers is entered in the young women's 100-meter hurdles finals at 1:15 p.m.

Summerville's Abernathy finishes third in intermediate boys pole vault
Summerville rising sophomore Taylor Abernathy (Summerville Storm) placed third in the intermediate boys pole vault. Abernathy cleared 12 feet, 3.5 inches in the event that included a field of six.
