What does it mean to be named to the Shrine Bowl Run team and helping the hospital?
I am very honored and privileged to be named to the Shrine Bowl Run team and given the opportunity to be a part of a great cause.

What did you hear about the Shrine Bowl Run before this year?
A few runners that were on my team who attended the Shrine Bowl Run in previous years told me that it was a great experience and an honor to be a part of.

What do you hope to experience during the event?
I hope to meet a lot of new people and get to know the senior runners better.

How are you preparing to run with a football?
I'm going to think about it like running 4x800, as if the football is a baton.  I also had my dad show me how to hold the football, so I don't drop it.

How would you rate your senior season?
I rate my senior season a 10/10 because it was the best that I could possibly imagine.  I got to watch my team overcome many obstacles this season and I am so proud of everything that we have accomplished.

What future goals do you have?
I hope to have an amazing track season and qualify for the state championship.

Have you made the decision to compete at the next level? Please explain.
Yes, I want to compete on a club team at whichever college I attend, but I have not decided which college yet.

How did you get involved with the sport and when?
I started running track as seventh grader because I had always loved running and a couple of my friends decided to join the team.  My friends and I all actually started conditioning as sprinters and then switched to distance after one week because we realized that we would be much better at it.

Do you have any relation or know someone that has attended the Shriners Hospital?
No, I do not.

How have you seen the sport change in the state? Please explain.

Cross country has definitely become more competitive in South Carolina, especially for the girls.  The all-state times just keep getting faster every year.

What was your motivation for your final XC season?

My motivation for this season goes back to where it all started - a love for running.  I wanted to enjoy every second of my last season and make the most of it that I possibly could.  I also found a lot of motivation in my teammates.  We all push each other to be the best that we can be and I am so lucky to have them.

If there is one thing in the world you could do, what would it be and why?
I would travel the world to experience everything it has to offer.
