What does it mean to be named to the Shrine Bowl Run team and helping the hospital?
It is an honor to be selected to the team and help the hospital. This is something I've been wanting to do ever since I heard about it.

What did you hear about the Shrine Bowl Run before this year?
From others who have been selected in the past, I heard they had great experiences with the event and had a lot of fun.

What do you hope to experience during the event?
I hope I get to experience a great time with many great runners from the state of South Carolina.

How are you preparing to run with a football?
It's definitely something I'm not used to, but I think the only way you really prepare for it is by making sure you keep it tucked so it doesn't fall out.

How would you rate your senior season?
It wasn't my best season but if I had to rate it on a scale of 1-10, I would say a six.

What future goals do you have?
I haven't decided on where I am going to attend college, but I plan on running when I get there.

Have you made a decision to compete at the next level? Please explain.
Yes, I've decided that I am going to compete in college. My love for running is very strong and it is just hard to see my future without the sport being a part of it.

How did you get involved with the sport and when?
I grew up around running and started in the second grade. My dad and I ran in many road races when I was a kid and I sort of fell in love with it then.

Do you have any relation or know someone that has attended the Shriners Hospital?
I do not have any relation, nor do I know, anyone who has attended the hospital.

How have you seen the sport change in the state? Please explain.
As a young runner, I remember seeing super fast guys and then there was a big gap in between them and the rest of the runners in the state. Now, I feel like many of the runners have closed that gap as the state has a lot more depth than in past years.

What was your motivation for your final XC season?
Just the fact that it was my last season had a huge impact what my goals were for the season and what all I had accomplished throughout the years.

If there is one thing in the world you could do, what would it be and why?
I would want to one-versus-one LeBron James and show him my skills on the court!
