Shrine Bowl Run interview: Abigail Smith of Riverside

What does it mean to be named to the Shrine Bowl Run team and helping the hospital? 
Running in the Shrine Bowl Run is a huge accomplishment. I'm so excited to run for a great cause!

What did you hear about the Shrine Bowl Run before this year? 
I heard that the Shrine Bowl Run was not only super fun but heartwarming as well.

What do you hope to experience during the event?
I look forward running for a great cause.

How are you preparing to run with a football?
I'm going to run as I would any other run regardless of carrying a football.

How would you rate your senior season? 
I would rate my senior season as the best one yet! I have improved a lot over the course of the season. 

What future goals do you have? 
My future goal is to rock it out in college and make many memories.

Have you made the decision to compete at the next level? Please explain. 
I have recently signed with the University of Tennessee. I'm so happy to be able to get to compete at the college level.

How did you get involved with the sport and when? 
I got involved into running my freshman year. My dad ran in high school and encouraged me to run as well.

How have you seen the sport change in the state? Please explain.
More teenagers have become more involved in cross country over the years. It has a great team environment that a lot of people are looking for. 

What was your motivation for your final XC season? 
My motivation this past season has been placing in the top at state and hopefully making it to Nike Nationals.

If there is one thing in the world you could do, what would it be and why? 
Go sky diving with my best friend Mikie!
