How did summer training go for your team?

Decent.

How do you prepare for the season with winning a state title last season?

The same way you prepare for every season.

What kind of goals do you have?

My goals are for my runners to improve in every race they run. While there are many factors that go into each race, I like to see marked improvement and growth from the beginning to the end of the season. I also ask my runners to learn something from each race.

Why do you coach and how long have you been coaching?

I started teaching 19 years ago and love with working with my students, in the same capacity I love working with the kids I coach and helping them achieve their best. I love when they get excited about the improvements they are making.  I also enjoy running myself and being able to share this love for running with them has been a blessing.

What is your biggest challenge as a coach?

Managing my time between being a wife, mother (my two most important jobs) and full time teacher with coaching.

What is your motivation?

The good Lord placed this coaching opportunity in my lap and I want to honor Him by doing the best I can.

Did you run in high school?
Please explain and share event bests.
I ran track in middle school and played volleyball and soccer in high school. I got into  running after high school and have done 5Ks, half marathons and a couple of marathons.
