Taco Bell Classic: Goodman reaches U.S. no. 15 all-time 11.30 100

The Taco Bell Classic started early with a U.S. no. 1 in the trials of the girls' 100-meter dash as Newnan (Ga.) senior Chalonda Goodman clocked a wind-legal 11.51 (+1.8). Goodman was apparently just warming up in the prelims as she went onto to run a U.S. no. 15 all-time performance of 11.30 in the finals. The meet record time is also the fastest juniors clocking in the World so far in 2009.

Results are posted from this weekend's Taco Bell Classic at Spring Valley in Columbia.
