What does it mean to be named to the Shrine Bowl Run team and helping the hospital?
It means a lot to be named to this team because I get to represent a great organization that helps children.

What did you hear about the Shrine Bowl Run before this year?
Before this year I heard about the Shrine Bowl Run the most when former teammates Philip Quillen and Carson Blick were named to the team last year.

What do you hope to experience during the event?
I hope to learn more about the Shriners Hospital and get to spend some time with some great runners and friends around the state.

How are you preparing to run with a football?
I'll watch film of the great Walter Peyton.

How would you rate your senior season?
It was great in terms of the team outcome but felt very dissatisfied with how the post season ended. But very grateful to finally win an individual state title in cross country.

What future goals do you have?
For track I'm training to break 4:10 for 1600/mile and 9:00 for 3200. Also hoping our team can defend the state title, and for the 4x800 team to achieve great things.

Have you made the decision to compete at the next level? Please explain.
I am planning to compete at the collegiate level, I have not yet decided where that will be.

How did you get involved with the sport and when?
I was playing another sport in sixth grade and wanted to get in shape for that in the spring and ended up loving running and never played that sport again.

Do you have any relation or know someone that has attended the Shriners Hospital?
My friend and former teammate's (Philip Quillen) younger sister has attended the Shriners Hospital.

How have you seen the sport change in the state? Please explain.
I seems to me that the depth of the state has changed from year to year, some years it is stronger than others but it is hard to say if it has gotten incredibly faster since my first year of cross country.

What was your motivation for your
final XC season?
I wanted to be a part of a cross country state championship team.

If there is one thing in the world you could do, what would it be and why?
I would train for a marathon and run one - even though whenever anyone asks me if I would run one I say no because I need to step outside of my comfort zones and try new things that seem impossible.
