What does it mean to be named to the
Shrine Bowl Run team and helping the community?
It's certainly an honor to be selected to be a part of this elite group of athletes and to be able to go out and serve the community with one another.  And being able to do just this was one of my season goals.

What did you hear about the Shrine Bowl Run before this year?
I heard that it was a fun time for everyone to get together doing something we all love, while also helping others in need at the same time.

What do you hope to experience during the event?
I can't wait to see how what we do can really makes the lives of those around us much better.

How are you preparing to run with a football?
I used to play pee-wee football, so I think I am more than qualified/ capable of carrying a football.

How would you rate your senior season?
Finishing among a great group of seniors is obviously a sign of a pretty good season.  However, with track heading our way, I know that there is still a lot of work left to be done.

What future goals do you have?
As far as the rest of the season goes, I want to go to state in the two-mile, as well as set new school records in both the mile and the two-mile.

Have you made the decision to compete at the next level? Please explain.
No, not yet, but if the chance arises and the circumstances are right, it is certainly a possibility.

How did you get involved with the sport and when?
I really got into it my sophomore year as just something fun to do and its evolved into so much more.

Do you have any relation or know anyone that has attended the Shriner's Hospital?
No.

How have you seen the sport change in the state? Please explain.
I feel that the competition has certainly grown, while the respect for one another has also achieved a new high.  All of the athletes, especially those at the top, all know one another and have grown closer to one another and always fight to try and finish on top of one another at the end of the day.

What was your motivation for your final XC season?
I wanted to place well at state, set a new school record for the 5K, and to obviously be a part of this event.

If there was one thing in the world you could do, what would it be and why?
To spread this sport to many more people.  There are so many out there that have to potential to be great at this sport and all it takes is for someone to help them take the first step.
