scrunners: After winning your second consecutive A-Sun long jump title what are your goals for the rest of your senior track and field season?
robinson: My plans are to keep doing what I am doing.

scrunners: How did you prepare for the A-Sun championships?
robinson: I prepared by making a self-evaluation sheet of the problems I had in the long jump and I worked on them.

scrunners: What were you thinking when going into the meet?
robinson: I was thinking go out there and have fun and win one for the team.

scrunners: What kind of goals have you set for this season?
robinson: My only goal was to win another long jump title and to have fun my last time around.

scrunners: How has the goal setting gone?
robinson: It has worked so far. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

scrunners: When regionals rolls around, how would you like to do there?
robinson: Better than last year. That's for sure. I hope to make it to the finals in the long jump.

scrunners: What do you remember the most from the indoor season?
robinson: I remember running my personal best in the 200 meters at the Virginia Tech Last Chance Meet in 2003.

scrunners: Do you prefer indoor or outdoor track?
robinson: I prefer outdoor because that is what I am used to.

scrunners: How did you adapt to indoor after only running outdoor in high school?
robinson: I did not adapt well at first. I couldn't get over the fact that I had to run a lap for a 200 and two laps for a 400.

scrunners: When did you first start to compete in the sport of track and field?
robinson: I started when I was a freshman in high school.

scrunners: What or who gave you the idea to compete in the sport?
robinson: I was a varsity basketball player. One of my friends on the team did track also and she begged me to come out with her. The rest is history. I didn't compete in the long jump until my sophomore year. My freshmen year I was a hurdler, I went to state in the hurdles.

scrunners: What other sports have you played?
robinson: I played basketball for seven years.

scrunners: How has your training changed since competing in college?
robinson: Honestly, it really hasn't that much. It's just that college is more organized. I had one coach that was an track athlete himself and he was tough.

scrunners: How has your training changed from your freshman year in college until now?
The training hasn't changed.

scrunners: What made you decide to attend Gardner-Webb?
robinson: A full scholarship. I couldn't afford anything less than a full scholarship.

scrunners: What other colleges did you look into attending?
robinson: Several colleges sent me letters. The ones that I remember off the top of my head is the University of South Carolina, Notre Dame, Charleston Southern, and many more.

scrunners: What is the most prestigious high school and collegiate meet have you competed in?
robinson: I would have to say the Coaches Classic. They have really unique medals and being held at facilities that were way nicer than most high schools.

scrunners: Have you ever met a professional athlete? If so, what did you talk to them about?
robinson: I have met Jackie Joyner-Kersee. I talked to her about advice she would give a young long jumper.

scrunners: What do you remember the most from your time at James Island HS?
robinson: I remember all the support I had from my friends and coaches. I was like a celebrity. Everyone knew me because of my track accomplishments.

scrunners: How did you senior season conclude at James Island?
robinson: It was fast. I finished with a third consecutive title in the long jump. I was very emotional about that.

scrunners: What kind of pre-event strategy do you have prior to an event?
robinson: The only thing I do is say a prayer and just go out and have fun.

scrunners: What keeps you motivated to get out the door every day for training and competition?
robinson: Track is what I am. I live it, breathe it, eat it, think it. I am it everyday.

scrunners: What do you look for in a coach and what do you expect a coach to look for in you?
robinson: I look for a coach to be knowledgeable in what he or she does and to be understanding. A coach should look for leadership in me not verbally, but through actions. I have heart and determination.

scrunners: When discouraged with training or a performance how do you regain composure?
robinson: I look back at my past accomplishments and train harder.

scrunners: Have you ever been injured, if so, what was wrong and how did you get healthy?
robinson: Funny you should ask that. I thought I would never get injured and now during my senior year at a meet in Clemson's indoor facility I strained my hamstring. I am still healing from the injury.

scrunners: When are you graduating from GWU?
robinson: I graduate in Dec. 2004. But there won't be a ceremony until May 2005.

scrunners: Do you see yourself competing in the sport of track and field when your collegiate eligibility concludes this year?
robinson: Maybe, Who knows?

scrunners: If there is one thing you could do in the world, what would it be, why?
robinson: Skydive, because you only live once and I am trying to do everything while I can.
