Jennifer Hitt of Anderson College qualified for the NCAA Division II National Cross Country Championship meet Saturday morning at the Southeastern Regional at the Wingate Cross Country Facility.
Hitt, an alumna of Hillcrest High, finished fourth in the 6K meet with a time of 23:01, 20 seconds behind meet winner Margaux Cowan-Banker of Carson-Newman.
Hitt, the CVAC Runner and Freshman of the Year, was the league\'s top finisher in the race. She will participate in the NCAA meet at Evansville, Ind., on Saturday, Nov. 20.
The Anderson women finished sixth in the 15-team field.
