Broome's Skip Frye announced as SCTCCCA Hall of Fame inductee

GREENVILLE -- Broome coach Skip Frye was named South Carolina Track and Cross Country Coaches Association Hall of Fame inductee as members joined at the Carolina First Center to discuss track and field at the high school level.

Frye started the cross country program at Broome in 1984. He has coached cross country for 27 seasons and 28 seasons of track and field. Frye recently took the role as athletic director at the school.

Riverside coach Eric Cummings was named assistant Shrine Bowl Run coach and will become head coach in 2011.  Christ Church's Rodney Adamee is the head coach for the 2010 run.

The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Officers held a meeting this morning to discuss hall of fame nominees and new officers will be selected for this election year.
