A-Sun: Day One Palmetto State Recap

Jeremy Longshore, a 2004 graduate of Broome High School captured the Atlantic Sun men\'s vault title with a best clearance of 16-00.75 during day one of the A-Sun Indoor Championships, held at ETSU in Johnson City, TN.

Longshore is a sophomore at Gardner-Webb (N.C.) University. Campbell (N.C.) University\'s David Bernabei finished second in the event with a best vault of 15-07.

Longshore\'s individual victory was also a new indoor conference record and school record. This is the first season the A-Sun has hosted an indoor championship.

ETSU freshman Jeff Crane (Wade Hampton 2004) captured the 3,000-meter title in 8:43.69 Friday night. Crane\'s time was also a new indoor A-Sun record.

Following the 3,000, Crane anchored ETSU\'s winning distance medley relay team with a combined time of 10:25.21, also a new A-Sun record.

The GWU men lead team scoring with 44 points. On the women\'s side Jacksonville holds the team lead with 44 at the conclusion of day one.

Day two action resumes Saturday morning. The meet concludes today.
