Mauldin High Schools Cross Country Prediction

This prediction is on the Mauldin High School boys Cross Country team. One of Mauldins top guys this year Zach Marion was posting here on SCRUNNERS that he believes that he and the rest of Mauldins top 5 will all be under 16:00. That is a very bold statement and if they can pull it off then they would be a shoe in for Second place and might even make Lexington sweat a little (Im just saying make Lexington get a little concerned, I doubt anyone will beat them this year as a team) at the state race this year. Last year they were led by Noah Labelle (all region runner, 3rd at region, 18th at state) and Jeff Sinkele (all region runner, 4th at region, 19th at state) who both had good years last year and led the Mauldin boys team pretty well together. These guys arent losing anybody from their top 5 this year and 3 of the top 5 from last year are already under 16:50, so they are very stacked up this year and could really do some big things at state this year. Most people are predicting them as either a 2nd or 3rd place team this year which is also where I believe they will be this year. They are gonna have a little bit of challenges from the new teams coming into 4A this year like Fort Mill (who recently got the Ruppes brothers form Rock Hill on their team and are gonna be a whole lot better with these two as additions to the team) and Wade Hampton who are always good and are expected to make some big moves in 4A this year. So watch out for these guys and see how good they actually do this year. Their top guys this year should be Noah Labelle, Jeff Sinkele, Marc Delisle (27th at state, all region runner, 5th place at region), Zachary Girvin, and Daniel Schlepphorst. I think this team will be either 2nd or 3rd place overall, led by 10-15 finishes form Noah Labelle and Jeff Sinkele. The 4A race is gonna be very interesting this year and I cant wait to watch it myself.

@mdog On Zach Marion's deffence he actually never said that HE was going to go under 16, he said that their top 5 guys would, he did however say that he and Ryan Smith should be under 17:00 this season.
