I went to school at Furman and ran with one of the camp directors. She loves the sport and is a good coach. The professors are also running enthusiasts who have done lots of research on training techniques and been successful in all kinds of endurance events. They have a cool book called Run Less, Run Faster that outlines training plans for the 5K up to the marathon.
i'll be going! i'm pretty excited after track season to get into XC, and camp should be pretty fun from what my teammates have told me!
i look forward to seeing you all there!
i went 2 summers ago(2006) and it was great, i wish i could go back but i dont think im aloud to when im in college :-\, i haven't found any running camps for college runners. I would recommend going to Furman, whether u know someone or not, good training, good food, good people and great learning experience.
i went to furman xc camp last year and it was really fun, educational, and helpful.
im going again this year and cant wait it is by far the best camp i have ever been to.
I also went 2 years ago and met two of my future teammates and assistant coach there. The running was great and there were always activities to keep the runners busy.
