Lexington High Schools Cross Country Prediction

This time aroud im doing Lexingtons cross country prediction. We all obviously know they are a very good team and are defenitely the favorite to win the state championship this year. They are losing Senior leader Coulby Coulter (all region runner 2011, all state runner 2011, 5th place at state 2011, 2010 state runner up) who had a pretty dissapointing season (by normal standards it was great but it wasnt what most expected) after his injury. Lexington although they have a lot of other superstar runners, is gonna mis his leadership, his determination, and his kick at the end of races like the 4x8 and 5k. They are still a very good team without him though, they are most likely gonna be led by Tony Morales (all region runner, all state runner, 3rd place at state), with the other top runners not far behind at all. They probably will finish 1-2-3 individualy, Morales, Langston (all region runner, all state runner), and white(all region runner, all state runner). There top returning runners are Tony Morales, Zack Langston, Blake White, Eric Wendt(all region runner), and Thomas Harris. So my prediction for Lexington is a fourth straight state championship, with Morales for the win. This team is used to stardom and is loaded with superstar runners and will show that this season. Although they wont win this title as easy they won all the others, they have more competition this year.

@Cazel I wouldn't count out Gawrylik from Wando even though your 123 beat him last year. I think his 9:38 in the two will go far for him building on his 1600 5K he threw down last year.

@Cazel 1,2, and 3, not 4. I honestly dont see Eric jumping from 23rd to 4th. Hes good dont get me wrong but Theres still guys who are coming back like Lantz, Gawryluk, Stafford, Crew Kosiorek, that finished better than him and those arent even all the guys that are coming back that finished ahead of him, those are just a few I picked randomly. He could possibly get in the top 10 but number four is pushing it a lot.

Honestly Crew better step because he follows in his brothers footsteps of being a star runner and everything but he deffinaty did not have that hot of a track season this year, I don't know what happened to him.

Not as bad for crew though, being a 16 minute 5k guy going 11:13 at qualifier... Pretty tough race for him. And Tony was still second at state in the 2 mile so idk why ur saying he had a bad track season.

@scrowe1122 I never said Morales had a bad track season, I said it wasnt to hot. What i meant by that is you didnt here about him as much this track season. Thats what a season that would be considered hot is, when everybody is talking about you (Ex: Lexington and Spartanburgs 4x8, and Summervilles 4x1). He had a good season it just wasnt hot.

@scrowe1122 No problem man, but you are right about Crew. If he lets his down track season cross over into cross country then there gonna big big problems in Boiling Springs because as we all know he literally is there only star runner, especially now that Sage is gone hes gonna have to step up big time.

Ive heard that Irmos top runner Patrik Duggan, might be transferring to Lexington, which would put him in the spot Thomas Harris is in (5th). Which means lexington will be even better and probably will be even more dominate at state. Its weird how we have had two (we arent sure on Duggan yet, so far its just a rumor until somebody confirms it or we actually see him run with Lexington) top guys on their respective teams (Lantz, and Duggan possibly) leave their teams to go to other ones. Its starting to remind me of how teams in the NBA are getting two and three superstars on one team (if you watch NBA you know what im talking about).

@scrowe1122 I never said they were purposely stacking thier teams. The NBA reference was just to point out some of these teams are really stacked, not that there doing this on purpose.

That would be great for that to happen but that is some big drops in times on the state course. If that would happen that would be a great team time for them.

@scrowe1122 Yea Eric will for sure get in the top 5 (SIKE!). Dude do you not realize that there are a good amount of returners that finished better place and time wise than him last year, Dont get me wrong Erics a good runner but i have to keep it real here.
