Individual Events: Top 5 District Meet Place Winners
Relay Events: Top 2 District Meet Place Winners

Dulles District
Individual Events: Top 8 District Meet Place Winners
Relay Events: Top 4 District Meet Place Winners

Supplemental Entries:
Athletes and relay teams may qualify for the region meet by meeting the Region II standards in the District Championship Meet or in a VHSL sanctioned meet of 4 or more teams.
The verification form must be included in the region meet entry form. The verification form must be filled out properly and it must be signed by the meet director and coach. Failure to complete the form will void the entry.
District Meet Director must verify all supplementary entries!
Schools are limited to one relay team.
Regional and State verification forms must be turned in to the District Meet Director or sent to Derek Farrey prior no later than May 18th.

Awards:
Trophy: Boys/Girls Team Champions and Team 2nd Place
Medals: Top Six (6) finishers in individual events. Top Three (3) finishers in relay events

Awards Presentation: Place Winners will be announced but no formal presentation of awards. Coaches will pick up medals at the end of the meet.

Entry Guidelines:

Regional entries for all events including relays are limited to the top 5 individuals and top 2 relays from the Evergreen, Jefferson, and Northwestern Districts and the top 8 individuals and top 4 relay teams from the Dulles District finishers in each district meet plus those that have met the 2012 regional event standards and have verified same by submitting an official regional verification form, signed by the meet director.
Entry Forms: official regional entries must be submitted on line via the milestat entry system no later than 11:59 pm, friday, may 18, 2012. Exceptions: district meets held on or after friday: entries due the next day after the meet.
Entry performances must be the better of their district performance (trial or final) or a verified regional qualifying performance from a 2012 outdoor season meet of four (4) or more teams.
Entry Deadline: all regional verification forms must be submitted to your district meet director at the conclusion of your district meet. you may edit your on line entries at any time up until 11:59 pm on Friday, May 18, 2012. Your entries as of this deadline will be considered final and declared.

IMPORTANT ENTRY REMINDERS: Please Read Carefully
1. All regional entries must be submitted on line via the milestat entry system

2. You may edit your on-line entries at any time prior to 11:59 pm on Friday, May 18. at that time all on-line entries will be considered final and declared and will count against the athletes maximum allowable events.

3. All athletes including any possible relay alternates must be entered on-line. do not enter more than eight (8) athletes for any one relay on the milestat entry please use these slots to enter all athletes who may be used on any of your relay teams and are not entered in any individual event at the meet. you will be allowed to use any athlete entered in any event on your on-line entry roster on your relay teams so long as it does not put them over the number of allowable running events.

4. Use only the best district performance (trial or final) or a regional qualifying performance with verification form attached for each entry.

5. Regional or State verification forms will be required for any regional entry (individual or relay) that did not place in the top 6 places in your district meet or has a regional qualifying performance better than their best district meet performance. you must give these to your district director prior to leaving the district meet.

Declaration Rule: All entries running events at the deadline on Monday will be confirmed as entered and will count against the athletes maximum allowable events whether they contest them or not.

Relay Declaration: Relay teams will be declared on a relay card provided at the meet at the time of event check-in. Six (6) athletes may be listed any four (4) of whom may run. The relay will count as an event only for those four (4) athletes who actually compete. ALL RELAY RUNNERS AND ALTERNATES MUST BE LISTED ON YOUR ON-LINE ENTRY. Note that the only way to enter an athlete who is only going to be used as a relay runner is to list them in one of the 8 slots allowed for each relay. DO NOT ENTER MORE THAN EIGHT (8) NAMES FOR ANY ONE RELAY.

Entry Confirmation:
Coaches: do not call Tuscarora High School to confirm your entries the entry list will be posted on milestat for review. A confirmation file will be sent to schools providing an e-mail. Note: School e-mails may filter hytek attachments.
Entry confirmation deadline: call the district meet director no later than Saturday, May 21 at 12:00 noon
District Meet Director: to confirm your district entries email Derek Farrey
Confirmation is required to avoid missing an entry by the regional director no additions/changes/etc. will be accepted. A scratched athlete from any track event after the deadline will disqualify that athlete from all running events.

Equipment:
Starting blocks provided by THS
All other equipment must be supplied by participating school

Scoring:
Individual events: 10-8-6-4-2-1
Relay events: 10-8-6-4-2-1

Participation:
As per state limitations, athletes are permitted unlimited field events and three track events with the exception of athletes running in the 3200 meter run. An athlete running the 3200m on the first day may run one additional running event that day and one additional running event the next day for a total of three running events. If the athlete only runs the 3200m on the first day he/she may run a total of two running events the next day.

Facility:
400 Meter, 8 lane, all-weather track. Concrete shot and discus throwing surfaces, all-weather surfaces on LJ/TJ , PV runways and HJ surface. All-weather spikes of 1/4 or less and flats may be used on the all-weather surfaces. Locker rooms are not available. Athletes should come dressed to run. Restrooms will be open in the stadium.

In-Field Area:
No coaches, managers or other school personnel will be allowed in the infield area
Infield Area: only Meet Personnel and athletes called to the bullpen

Parking:
Bus Parking as directed upon arrival
All other vehicles may use available student lot area
School will be in session from 9:00 am-3:48 pm

Admissions:
Spectator cost is $5.00 per Region Policy
Athletes dressed in uniform must enter through the attendance gate (or designated athlete gate)
Passes: VASSP, NASSP, VHSCA, VIAAA, Region Pass, NO District Passes are accepted

Expenses:
All expenses are the responsibility of the school
Mileage reimbursement form needs to be turned in at the coaches meeting

Hospitality:
There will be a hospitality area
It is reserved for Principals, ADs, T&F coaches, and meet personnel No athletes or managers allowed
Wristbands will be handed out to authorized individuals for the use of the hospitality area

Coaches Meetings:
Will start on time general meet information will be provided.
A field event competitor may scratch without penalty
A track event competitor scratching on the day of the meet will disqualify him/her for all running events for the day.

Restricted Coaching Area:
NO Coaches (or spectators) are allowed on the Infield Area (or jump area) after 1:00 pm.
Other restricted areas will be marked.
NO Team Personnel (or spectators) are allowed in the upstairs Press Box Area.

State Entries:
State entry forms, qualifying standards and information will be included in your meet packet.
Coaches will use hytek teamlite to email their entries to Paul Mobley and Bill Stewart.
Official meet results will be provided at the conclusion of the Region Meet.
All times to be entered as FAT if time is hand-timed ADD .24
All field event performances should be entered in feet () and inches ()

Miscellaneous:
Track Events: Athlete must report to bullpen by second call. Absence for the third will result in a scratch from the event and remaining track events.
Three trial attempts for all field events. The top eight will advance to the finals. Finalists will receive three additional attempts.
Flight format will be used for field events.
Uniform Rule: Meet management will enforce the rule as stated in the NFHS Track & Field rule book. It is the responsibility of the coaches and athletes to follow the rule.

EXAMPLE: 100 M HAND TIME ON WATCH 11.21 = 11.3 + 0.24 = 11.54 FAT

When converting hand times for non-standard events, add 0.24 seconds before using muliplier/divisor

EXAMPLE: 1500 M HAND TIME ON WATCH 4:35.31 = 4:35.4 + 0.24 = 4:35.64 X 1.0737 = 4:55.96 1600 M (FAT)
