Mother Nature provides a challenge at Furman! Oct 09, 2005

Mother Nature played havoc with this weekends races as teams from Georgia faced tough conditions at several large meets this weekend. At Furman, a muddy course provided quite a challenge for several of the states top teams competing against an elite field from multiple states. Throw in an SAT weekend and you had the makings of a real test for Georgia teams.

VIC Men Finish in 2nd Place at Furman Invitational Oct 08, 2005

Coming off an impressive run at the Paul Short Run last week, the Cobras came four points short of winning the Furman Invitational Saturday morning. Leading Virginia Intermont College (VIC) was freshman Steeve Gabart (Miami, Florida), covering the 8 Kilometer race in a time of 26:23.47 (4th place). Finishing 6th place overall was sophomore Ondrej Puskar (Trnava, Slovakia) with a time of 26:27.13.
