The 17th Annual
Greenville – Spartanburg County Relay

Saturday March 5, 2016
Entry Fee – NONE – In exchange for an entry fee, every school is required to provide at least two coaches/adults and enough workers (students or athletes) to run off a field event. Please send an email with your school’s preferences of field event to JohnsJD@spart6.org by Monday Feb 29th. I will make every attempt to get you the event(s) that you ask for and will do so on a first come/first serve basis. I will assign schools that do not send preferences and then I will send out a list of assignments on Thursday morning.

Awards – NONE – we will keep scores of all teams and a score of Greenville County vs Spartanburg County for boys and girls.

Entries – To register your team and athletes for the GSP Relays go to www.scrunners.com, select Calendar and then 2016 Outdoor T&F. Find the GSP Relays and click on the green “Online Entry” box. This will take you to the Meet Page where you will again click on the green “Online Entry” box to register. An instructions and FA link will also be on the Meet Page. Do not contact Dorman for online questions. If you cannot find your answer in the FAQ’s or instructions on the site, contact John Olson at jolson@milesplit.us. Do not wait until the last minute to learn how to use the site or try to solve any problems.

Entry Restrictions – Each team may enter up to 2 relays in all field events. Each field relay consists of 3 athletes.
*Each team may enter up to 3 relays in all NON-laned running events.
 *Each team may enter up to 2 relays in all laned running events.
 *Athletes can only compete in 4 events.

Parking – Bus parking will be at the football stadium. Buses may drop athletes off at the Spring Sports complex entrance located by the softball field. Instructions will be given to the football stadium. Spectators will also park @ the football stadium and we will provide shuttle buses to and from the spring sports complex all day.

Other Information -
Athletes in uniform may enter free.
Coaches, please enter with your team or have your coaches pass.
There will be a $5 admission for all spectators. Coaches make sure your athletes tell their parents.
Concessions will be available all day.
The infield of the track is off limits for any warmups.
Athletes can warmup below the track on the bottom lacrosse field and will be taped off, but please stay off of the baseball and softball fields.
Relay batons will not be provided, please bring enough for all of your teams.
Calls will be made prior to each event. All runners must to report to the check-in area.
Three attempts in throws and jumps
 No tents in the home stands. Tents can be placed just down from the stands on the small hill.
Entrance to the track will be on the back side by the 200m start. Gates on homestretch will be secured for timing purposes. Field entrances will also enter through that gate where they will check in and report to events.
1/8 inch pyramid only size spikes allowed on track. They will be checked!

ORDER OF EVENTS – GSP Relays
Coaches please take some time at practice to explain the legs, staying in lanes, breaking, etc. This will save us a lot of time prior to each relay.
