Eligibility
The Velocity Sports Performance Invitational is open to Public and Private High Schools in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Alabama. The meet is NFHS Sanctioned. High School Age unattached athletes may compete.

Entry Fee
$60.00 per single gender team. $110 per both teams (girls & boys) $10 per athlete for teams bringing less than 4 athletes per gender. High School Age unattached athletes $15.00 Entries due by Monday April 18th 7:00pm

Limited to 3 athletes per event per school
3200m Run: Top 24 Entries
Pole Vault: Girls- 7' 0", Boys- 8' 6"
High Jump: Girls- 4' 06", Boys- 5' 06"
Shot Put: Top 30 Entries
Discus: Top 30 Entries
Long Jump: Top 30 Entries
Triple Jump: Top 30 Entries

Facility State of the art facility, with an 8-lane rubber track, 2 long/triple jump runways, 2 high jump areas, artificial turf field, nice pole vault area, plenty of space for team tents and vendors.

Coaches & Athletes
Coaches please park your buses at Steele Creek Elementary. The address is 4100 Gallant Lane, Charlotte NC 28273
Coaches and athletes driving cars should also park at Steele Creek Elementary School.
Coaches and athletes must use the back gate entrance at the field house. If you use the parking lots and gates off of Sandy Porter Rd., you will have to pay.
All Teams should set up tents on the Visitors side. Tents may also be placed on the very upper level on the home side, if space is limited on the visitors side.
Admission Fee
Admission fee is $5.00 per person for spectators. All spectators should use the parking lots off of Sandy Porter Rd. The address is 4301 Sandy Porter Rd. Charlotte NC, 28273
Athletic Trainer
Olympic High School, Carolinas HealthCare System, and Performance Rehab Associates will be providing certified athletic trainers onsite during the competition. Schools not traveling with a trainer should send supplies, such as tape and prewrap, as we will have limited quantities of those supplies.
All injuries or medical emergencies should be reported to the athletic trainer. The trainer will either be in the training room, or the medical tent.
Competition Areas
Coaches and athletes are not allowed under the timing tent for any reason.
Coaches are not allowed in the infield, unless you are helping.
No headphones, cell phones or other electronic devices are allowed in competition areas.
Any protests should be filed with the appropriate referee (running or field) or the meet director.
Protests will be judged by the games committee, which will consist of the referees and the meet director.
The protest period will be within 15 minutes after the posting of final results.
Uniform Rules
ALL ATHLETES, INCLUDING UNATTACHED ATHLETES, MUST CONFORM TO THE NCHSAA UNIFORM RULES.
Athlete Procedures (Field Events)
Shot Put and Discus are located behind the red storage trailers and field house.
Implement Weigh in is at the field house
All jumps are located on the scoreboard end of the track.
All field event athletes should check in at their event site no later than 10 minutes prior to the start of their competition.
Starting Heights Boys HJ = 56, Girls HJ = 46, Boys PV = 86, Girls PV = 70
The top 9 will go to the finals.
Athlete Procedures (Running Events)
No athletes should be in the infield unless they are competing
Check-In will be near the red storage trailers.
Hip numbers will be worn on the left hip for lane races. All other races will wear numbers on the left hip and left chest.
Athletes should know the order of events and not depend solely on calls before they check in.
Hospitality
Hwy 55 Burgers, Shakes, and Fries will provide hospitality for the Coaches at the Visitors Concession Stand
