DATE: Saturday, August 19, 2017

RACE SITE: Blue Ridge High School and Farmer Smith’s farm. The races will begin in an open field so there is plenty of room for everyone and end in the stadium with a majority of the course being run on the neighboring farm land. There is no setting in the upstate that can compare to this true cross country course. Breathe in the fresh air as the race meanders through the woods and pastureland. Scenic woodlands and creek-side beauty will accompany the runners. There is no setting in the upstate that can compare to this true cross country course. For high school teams these races will provide the perfect venue to determine how well their summer training has paid off prior to the start of their racing schedule. For individuals this will be a great way to gauge your fitness level after your summer of hard work. The races are perfect events for teams, and individuals of all ages and levels of ability.

TIME SCHEDULE: 8:30am The Tiger Trails 2 miler (Individuals only)
9:00am Farmer Smith’s Cow Pie 5k Classic Scrimmage (High school teams and individuals)
10:00am Awards presentation

ENTRY: All entries for will be done on-line at www.go-greenevents.com . Look for the middle/high school 5k event tab and click on it. ALL RUNNERS ON A HIGH SCHOOL TEAM MUST REGISTER FOR THE 5k RACE INDIVIDUALLY. COACHES CANNOT MAKE TEAM ENTRIES. Please make sure your athletes are aware of this so they register themselves correctly for the event. Only those athletes who have registered will receive a bib and timing chip.

ENTRY FEE: $50 per gender. $100 total for both boys and girls teams. Checks should be made payable to: Fighting Tiger Running Club. If mailed all payments are due by Thursday, August 17. They should be sent to: Scott Lucking, 2801 Wade Hampton Blvd., Suite 115-200, Taylors, SC 29687-2781. Payments may also be made on race day. You must pay in order to race. Please do not sign up and then back out. Since this race is being chip timed we don’t want to get stuck with paying for unused chips for no shows. There is no limit to the number of runners on a team entry. All high school teams must run the 5k race. No high school teams allowed in the Tiger Trail 2 miler. An individual participant may run either the 5k or the 2 miler. The entry fee is $20 for all individual participants in either race. Payment will be made on-line at the time of registration on the Go-Green Events website. All individual entry fees include a technical t-shirt. No shows are not entitled to a refund.

ENTRY DEADLINE: ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED ON-LINE NO LATER THAN 12:00pm ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 17, 2017. Race day entries for individuals only will be permitted until 8:00am.

AWARDS: Awards will be given to the top five male and female finishers in both races. Event technical t-shirts will be on sale for $20.00.

PACKET PICK UP: Packets can be picked up beginning at 7:00am on race day at the concession stand at the football stadium. The packet will include course map, timing chips, bibs, and pins. Bibs must be worn on the front of the jersey.

UNIFORM: Since this is a scrimmage no high school team uniforms may be worn.

PARKING: Free parking will be available at the facility.

CONCESSIONS: Concessions will be available serving a variety of snacks, soft drinks, Gatorade, candy bars, etc.

LOCKER ROOMS: None available.

TRAINERS: Trainers will be provided.
