I ran 4 years of Varsity Cross Country and Varsity Track for Charlotte High School from 1996-2000. My personal best 3-mile race was 16:29 at the Fort Myers Optimist in 1999. For Track & Field, I focused on the 1-mile and 2-mile events. My personal bests were 4:42 in the 1-mile at the Fort Myers Edison Relays in 2000, and 10:06 in the 2-mile.
After running for Charlotte High School, I received a partial scholarship to run Cross Country at Florida Institute of Technology. I ran all 4 years as a top 5 Varsity athlete. My personal best was 28:13 for the 8k.

After graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology in 2004, I starting my career in teaching at Charlotte High School in August 2004 (2 weeks before Hurricane Charley). Besides being a Teacher, I have been the Head coach for Cross Country and Track & Field programs for the past 8 years now.
