Weekly Total Mileage: 45.5 miles
June Total Mileage: 160 miles
Summer Total Mileage: 253.5 miles

June 26 - 5 mile run, 1 hour bike ride
Went for a pretty good pace for five miles and then rode the bike for an hour in the evening.

June 27 - 4 mile run
Easy four miles, I wasn\'t feeling very good.

June 28 - 8 mile run
An eight mile run, I feel like I\'m getting in a whole lot better shape...eight miles didn\'t even feel like a long distance. I ran in the evening because I was studying for my final until the early hours of the morning and then again before my final.

June 29 - 6 mile run, 40 minute bike ride
A semi-hard six miles at about 6 p.m. I rode my bike earlier in the day...I\'m pretty much used to the heat now.

June 30 - 9 mile run
Got up at 5 a.m. so that I could run before leaving on my car trip to Wyoming. I ran almost the entire thing hard because I got spooked by how dark it was and all of the animal noises...at times I was literally sprinting. It felt really nice to run in the morning though. Originally I was going to run only seven miles but there was a dog in my path who wasn\'t being too friendly so I had to turn around and go the long way back to my grandparent\'s house so nine miles at a pretty hard pace. I was really sore and tired for the first day of driving.

July 1 - 5.5 mile run
I\'ve never been to Cheyenne before so I got a little lost on my run around the Air Force base. My family just moved to Wyoming from Nebraska, but I went to high school in Colorado--it has made training a little crazy, but it never gets boring. I get to run different trails all the time. I remembered that while in Colorado there would be people who came up from sea level and wouldn\'t be able to breath even just walking around, but I didn\'t really see much of a difference. The altitude here is about 6,100 ft. above sea level. It felt good to get out and run after a 29.5 hour car trip.

July 2 - 8 mile run, weights
I went to the gym and lifted some weights. I went for an easy eight miles, I was able to feel the altitude a little bit further on into my run, but it wasn\'t too bad. Having pretty much no humidity in the air is really nice, as well as cooler temperatures...I can run in the middle of the day and I won\'t overheat.
