SCTCCCA meets renamed Bob Jenkins' Coaches Classic

The South Carolina Track and Cross Country Coaches Classic announced today going forward starting in 2013 cross country season all Coaches Classic meets will be renamed The Bob Jenkins' Coaches Classic.

Marathon journal - week 2: Riverside alumna Hayley Lyons

Why is it that short runs often seem to drag on more than long runs?  This always happens to me.  I woke up this morning actually feeling relieved that I only had to run three miles today.  After all, it’s only three, right?  Somehow, however, the “only three” miles seemed to take centuries longer than even my slowest half-marathon.  I mean, it’s totally mental.  For a long run, I go out there, thinking, “See ya in a couple of hours, world”, feeling prepared as I immerse myself into the run.  

Youth cross country challenge state meet venue announced

We are happy to announce that the ES/MS Club Cross Country Challenge State Championship is confirmed for Oct. 20, 2012 at the Clemson University / Sandhills Research Center;  also the site of the South Carolina State High School Cross Country Championships.  

SCUSATF annual meeting Saturday in Columbia

The South Carolina USATF association is holding its annual meeting this Saturday at Dreher in Columbia. The meeting starts at 2 p.m. Interim state president Tim Tyler talks about USATF in the state and the past year.

More youth meets coming to state
