Pendleton hurdle sensation Jasmine Stowers set a personal best of 8.02 seconds in the 55-hurdles enroute to the win over Harding University\'s (N.C.) Ashley Bethune (8.21) at the Clemson HS Invitational earlier today

Seneca senior Marcus Goodine cleared 6-6 in the high jump, taking the win over C.A. Johnson\'s Parrish Coggins (6-4). Goodine played in a basketball game Friday evening for the Bobcats.

North Rowan\'s (N.C). Phillip Bush cleared 23-02 to win the boys long jump.

In the girls 1600-meter run Kimberly Muldowney of Hoover (Ala.) was first in 5:21.88. Mauldin\'s Alexa Neiling was third in 5:33.58.

Mauldin senior Chad Holt finished second in the boys 1600 with a time of 4:27.59. Hoover\'s Patrick McGregor was first in 4:25.87.

Brookins second in Florida meet
Seneca senior Kya Brookins placed second in the finals of the 55-meter dash at the Diet Pepsi Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla. Saturday.

Brookins, running unattached, crossed the finish line during the finals in 6.73, a U.S. no. 1 season performance and no. 3 all-time, according to dyestat.com. In the preliminaries, Brookins was first in 6.81.
