SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Citadel freshman Michael Lantz was named men's Southern Conference Runner of the Week after his impressive performance at the Carolina Invitational last weekend in Fort Jackson, S.C.
The Columbia, S.C., native clocked in at 15:54 on the 5k course, good for second place in the individual standings, and led the Bulldogs to an overall second-place finish. Lantz finished 11 seconds ahead of his older brother, Raeven, and moved into eighth place in Citadel history at the 5k distance.
Head Coach
Jody Huddleston was pleased with Michael's performance in his opening meet.
