Andrews' Pope, West Ashley's Nodia bring home gold from Volunteer Classic

West Ashley senior Nodia Robinson finished first in the girls 800-meter run during the Volunteer Track Classic. Robinson, bringing home South Carolina's lone female title from the meet, finished the two lap event in 2 minutes, 18.64 seconds. Andrews senior Marcus Pope finished first in the 300-meter hurdles and second in the 110-meter hurdles.

Pope covered the 300 hurdles in 37.54 seconds and 14.11 in the 110 hurdles.

Pendleton sophomore Jasmin Stowers finished second to national leader Jackie Coward in the 100- and 300-meter hurdles. Stowers ran 13.11 in the 100 and 43.19 in the 300 hurdles.

West Ashley's boys 4x100-meter hurdle shuttle relay team finished second to Brookwood (Tenn.) in 1 minute, 4.92 seconds. Brookwood finished in 1 minute, 4.58 seconds.

West Ashley girls finished third in the 4x200-meter relay (1:47.21).
