How do you look at your number one high jump ranking?
I am not satisfied with my personal best. This is only my second year jumping, so I know that I can get a lot better.
Do you have a favorite event, and why?
High jump, because I like jumping over obstacles.
How would you rate your performances so far this season?
Good, but still not satisfied.
Where do you see yourself going the rest of the season after this past weekend?
All the way to the state meet to be a champion.
What are your post high school plans?
Go on to college to run track and study to be a astronomer or a veterinarian.
What are your goals for the the rest of the season?
To try to achieve six feet in the high jump.
What do you remember the most from the 2015 season?
It was my first year ever participating in track and I was the state runner-up in the high jump.
How did winter training going?
It went well. My club team is 36 Elite.
How long have you been competing in track and field and how did you get started?
This is my second year and I got because my track coach saw how well I could jump during the basketball season.
Do you have a specific motivation?
Having competition.
How do you look at competition?
I look at them with respect but know I can win.
Will you be competing out of state this season?
Yes.
What do you enjoy about the Hanna team?
They are fun to be around.
Do you have a pre-event tradition?
Yes, I listen to music.
What event strategy works best for you?
Watching what my competition does.
Do you have a technique that you prefer or have been trained to use?
Yes.
What has been your biggest challenge in the sport? How did you overcome the challenge?
My biggest challenge has been competing for a new PR after I have already won the event. I overcame that by just relaxing and trying not to think about it.
What (so far) is your favorite event in your high school career?
High jump.
What team responsibilities do you have on and off the track? How do you handle the responsibilities?
Just being a great student-athlete.
What do you hope to achieve this weekend?
A new personal best.
Favorite track and field memory?
Being the AAU National Champion in 2015 in the long jump and high jump.
When you are not competing what is your favorite thing to do?
Watch television.

Do you see yourself coaching in the future?
No.
If there is one thing you could do in the world what would it be and why?
Be a member of the U.S. Olympic Team. So that I can represent my country and my hometown.

This year's Taco Bell Classic to be held this weekend at Spring Valley High School in Columbia, South Carolina will once again LIVE streamed online via MileSplit.com. This will be the third straight year which the meet be broadcasted online and featured prominently on a national and regional scale on MileSplit.com and SCRunners.com.
The event, hosted and directed by John Jones and Kevin Shaw at Spring Valley High School, annually draws some of the best competition throughout the Southeast Region states and sometimes even beyond. The 24th edition of the meet expects to be no different with the potential for many new U.S. #1 times and U.S. all-time performances.
One of the more exciting races should be the girls 400 meter hurdles match-up with two of the nation's elite in Anna Cockrell from Provide Day School in North Carolina and Brandee' Johnson from Nansemond River High School in Virginia. Cockrell is the defending meet champion in both hurdles event, while Johnson is coming off two US top 10 all-time performances in the hurdles at the Texas Relays.
