What was your most memorable race/competition?

My most memorable race was the 800 at state my senior year when I got third, made the all state team, and ran a best of 1:56.76.

Out of all your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?
Getting four all-region honors at the Region 5-4A track meet my senior year.

If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your athletic career in high school?

I would have started running cross country and track earlier, instead of waiting until my sophomore year.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
Injuries were the most difficult obstacle I had to overcome. I ran through tendinitis in my knee my senior year track season and still came in third in the state for the 800 and ran the second fastest time in school history.

What will you miss the most?
I will miss running with my friends everyday. I will miss making jokes and having fun on every run. I will also miss the competition in practices, competing with my teammates trying to make each other better.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
Have fun with it. You can't take it too serious. At the same time there are times when you need to be serious and get your work in. I have met some of my best friends through running.

How have your coaches influenced your performances and your life goals?
My coaches have encouraged me and done everything they can to make me the best athlete I can be and I am very grateful for them. My coaches have taught me that I can do anything in life and be anything I want to be if I work for it.

What kind of impact did your family have on your time as a high school student-athlete?

My family has been very supportive throughout my high school-athletic career. They have been to just about every game or race that I have had.

What are your college or post high school plans?
I plan on running cross country and track for The Citadel.

What do you hope to achieve after high school?

I hope to get a good education from The Citadel and possibly contract with the Army.

Do you see yourself coaching in the future? Please explain and if so, what level and why?

I could see myself coaching in the future. I would want to coach high school athletes because that's the stage where you first begin to see talent and potential in runners. I would love to notice potential and work with the kids to reach their goals and help them achieve what they never thought they could.

Shout-outs?
Shout out to my underclass teammates Weston Hutto, Dan Bell, Jeffrey Keene, and Thomas Sutcliffe. Do work next season and carry on the tradition.

If there is one thing in the world you could do, what would it be and why?

Break a world record in any event, because who wouldn't want to have a world record and be known as the fastest man in that event.
