Stowers ties top MileSplit.us 60 hurdles national mark

Pendleton junior Jasmin Stowers, running with club team Quick Striders, sealed a 60-meter hurdles victory at the Knoxville Track Club High School Invitational Saturday in Johnson City, Tenn.

Stowers had the fastest time going into the finals of 8.6 seconds and ran 8.55 in the finals.

Daniel sophomore Sinead Haughey finished first in the unseeded girls 3,000-meter run Saturday in 10 minutes, 59.03 seconds. Haughey's time would place her fourth overall in the invitational 3,000 run.

Greenville junior Sandi Morris, also competing with Quick Striders, rounded out the top three in the pole vault with a 10 ft., 6 in. best height.

Dreher senior Jorde Farmer finished seventh in the 800-meter fast section with a time of 2 minutes, 27.57 seconds.
