What was your most memorable race/competition?

This year's Coaches Classic 3200 race. As I was in last, there were some observers who kept saying that I knew what I was doing better than the person in first. That was the race I achieved my 3200 personal record.

Out of all your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?
Winning the Luke Hoover Scholarship. This is because Luke's parents came over to me and told me that they felt that I had the same spirit as their son had had. They told me this shortly after a two and a half hour award ceremony.

If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your athletic career in high school?
I would have started out in the mile and kept with it.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
Mentally preparing myself to PR. I had to be ok with feeling the stress being put on my legs and keep going.

What will you miss the most?
I will miss my fellow athletes and friends the most.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
Work hard and trust in the Lord!

How have your coaches influenced your performances and your life goals?
They have shown me that if you work hard and keep going after your goals, you can achieve them.

What kind of impact did your family have on your time as a high school student-athlete?
They helped cheer me on and keep me going when the times looked bleak.

What are your college or post high school plans?
I plan on going to Charleston Southern University for Computer Science.

What do you hope to achieve after high school?
I hope to graduate from college, get married, grow closer to God, fellowship with others, and complete Congressional Award.

Do you see yourself coaching in the future? Please explain and if so, what level and why?
I don't see myself coaching in the future, but I can possibly see teaching math or computer science at a middle or high school.

Shout-outs?
Coach Will, Ross, and Searle.

If there is one thing in the world you could do, what would it be and why?
I would go to a country that I can minister to others and show God's love to others. This is because many people will not hear the Gospel and may go to Hell for that very reason. I would hope to make a difference for God.
