What does it mean to be named to the Shrine Bowl Run team and helping the hospital?
It is an awesome opportunity to be able to be nominated to be a part of something special and to have a good ending to my final high school cross country season.

What did you hear about the Shrine Bowl Run before this year?
That it is a lot of fun and a great experience, so I was informed that I needed to sign up for it.

What do you hope to experience during the event?
I hope to meet and get to know other runners in the state, it'll be cool to be able to talk to them on a different basis than just competing against them.

How are you preparing to run with a football?
Tuck it, and treat it like a baton in a relay (DO NOT drop it).

How would you rate your senior season?
Bittersweet. My girls team was able to get a trophy for second in the state for Class AAA as a second-year school. Class AAA girls race in photos

Madison Lewellyn has had a good sophomore track season, thanks in good measure to an outgoing, fifth-grader.

What future goals do you have?
To run in college for a school that takes my running ability to the collegiate level.

Have you made the decision to compete at the next level? Please explain.
I have narrowed my choices down to a few schools with great track and cross country programs, no decisions yet, but I can not wait to make one.

How did you get involved with the sport and when?
My eighth grade year I went out for the track team and was successful, then started cross country my freshman year.

Do you have any relation or know someone that has attended the Shriners Hospital?
No, unfortunately.

How have you seen the sport change in the state? Please explain.
Over my last four to five years the competition has been becoming more and more competitive, the girls are getting faster and faster and it's amazing to see the times these girls are putting out.

What was your motivation for your final XC season?
To finally get a trophy at states with a very young team and to end everything on a good note.

If there is one thing in the world you could do, what would it be and why?
Go to Greece and be able to travel around that part of Europe.
