Wando senior Eric Powers told scrunners.com Monday he will attend Georgia Tech in the fall.
"I chose Georgia Tech because it's a great fit for me and my goals," said Powers. "I wanted to attend a school where I could excel academically and athletically, and Tech was the place that met both of those needs. I plan on majoring in chemical engineering in the fall. I really like the program that Coaches Drosky and Hinsdale have developed at Georgia Tech. I hope that I can contribute as a Yellow Jacket next year!"
