Rowland wins 100 at USATF Juniors

Dorman alumnus Marcus Rowland finished first in the 100-meter dash at USATF Junior Championships in Eugene, Ore.

Rowland finished second in the preliminaries (10.13). The Auburn sprinter finished in 10.02 (2.4w) seconds during the finals, ahead of Miss. State's D'Angelo Cherry (10.07). Cherry had the fastest time going into the finals (10.02).

"It's great to see Marcus accomplish an individual national championship," said Dorman coach Jeff Buys. "Making the junior team was a big goal in 2008, and he was hampered by a hamstring injury, so for him to be able to come back this year and make it is wonderful to see."
