Bishop England's Colizzi announced as Shrine Bowl Run coach

Bishop England coach Tony Colizzi has been named 2009 Shrine Bowl Run coach, according to sctrackworld.us, the official Web site of the South Carolina Track Cross Country Coaches Association.

"It is quite an honor to be the coach of the Shrine Bowl Run," said Colizzi.  "I look forward to working with Rodney Adamee and the rest of the Shrine Bowl Run staff."

Assisting Colizzi will be Christ Church coach Rodney Adamee. Adamee will serve as head coach in 2010.

The SCTCCCA announced the positions during a summer meeting in Charleston.

"I am thrilled to be chosen as assistant shrine bowl coach," said Adamee.  "Coaches and runners that have been involved in this event told me that it is a rewarding, enlightening, and fun experience.  I am also excited to have the opportunity to work with Tony Colizzi."

The Shrine Bowl Run is scheduled for Dec. 19.  The team is selected following the state cross country championships.

"To have the opportunity to be associated with the Shriners and all of the good work that they do will definitely be one of the highlights of the upcoming season," Colizzi concluded.
