What does it mean to be named to the Shrine Bowl Run team and helping
the hospital?
It is an honor, I am thankful for the hospital and the work it does to help children with different medical needs.

What did you hear about the Shrine Bowl Run before this year?
Coach (Jack) LeGrand told me about it before the season started. In the past we have had a few Chapin runners selected. I was told it was a very special opportunity.

What do you hope to experience during The Run?
I think it will be fun to run with other seniors from around the state and form new friendships.  I am also excited to spend time with some of the children at the hospital.

How are you preparing to run with a football?
My family loves football, will be fun to carry the rock.

How would you rate your senior season?
I would rate it 9 out of 10. I was pleased with my PR, winning the region and finishing third at the state championship.

What future goals do you have?

Have a strong spring track season and then get ready for my transition to college.

Have you made the decision to compete at the next level? Please explain.
I am planning to run in college, currently I am talking to a number of schools that have shown interest.

How did you get involved with the sport and when?
I began running varsity track for Chapin in seventh grade. It all started when I found out I had a middle school record.

Do you have any relation or know someone that has attended the
Shriners Hospital?
No.

How have you seen the sport change in the state? Please explain.
The sport as a whole is growing and I think runners are definitely getting faster.

What was your motivation for your final XC season?
When I found out that Chapin moved up a classification to 5A, I wanted to prove that I could compete with the larger schools and best runners in the state.

If there is one thing in the world you could do, what would it be and why?
Quality for an Olympic team. I think that would be a special life changing experience.
