What does it mean to be named to the Shrine Bowl Run team and helping the hospital?
It's an honor to be recognized for my athletic achievement and in a way that benefits others.

What did you hear about the Shrine Bowl Run before this year?
There's a lot of comradely between the runners, and it is a great event for a good cause.

What do you hope to experience during The Run?
I hope to make a final happy memory of cross country to keep forever.

How are you preparing to run with a football?
I'm just gonna wing it and hope it doesn't make too much of a difference

How would you rate your senior season?
My actual times were not what I wanted, but all the challenges I faced this year definitely allowed me to grow as a person and athlete.

What future goals do you have?
I would like to run marathons and continue running for as long as I can.

Have you made the decision to compete at the next level? Please explain.
I've decided to put academics first and not compete at the collegiate level, but I plan to be a member of the running club at whatever university I attend.

How did you get involved with the sport and when?
I actually started as conditioning for wrestling season when my brother was already on the team, but found out I love running and switched over to running year round.

Do you have any relation or know someone that has attended the Shriners Hospital?
Thankfully, no.

How have you seen the sport change in the state? Please explain.
In the last few years many of the higher ranked boys have been young, much more of the underclassmen are hitting very fast times.

What was your motivation for your final XC season?
I wanted to do all I could for my coach and teammates.

If there is one thing in the world you could do, what would it be and why?
I would backpack through Europe because there is so many things to see and so much history there.
