National Boys Performer Of The Week (2/10-2/16)

* Ashton Schwartzman is one of several nominees for National Performer of the Week

In one of the closest National Performer of the Week polls MileSplit has ever registered, the winner of last week's contest earned victory by less than 1-percent. In the end, Detroit Renaissance's Dylan Brown earned victory over Woonsocket's Logan Coles by just 40 votes.

Crazy. But Brown's effort certainly was warranted, as he posted an impressive double at the SPIRE Scholastic Showcase over the period of Feb. 3-9, earning wins in the 60m (6.82) and 200m (21.30), which were US No. 14 and US No. 4 performances, respectively.

Worth noting was Cole's career day, too, an effort of 77 feet, 4.5 inches in the weight throw at the RIIL Class Championships.

A big congrats goes out to Brown on the win, and to the rest of the field on a crazy week of voting.

Now let's get to Week 7. Vote for whom you think should win this week's national honor following a big week of action. Voting will end Friday, and we'll recognize the winner every Monday during the unveiling of the newest poll.

Below we have eight boys nominees for this week's top honor. Vote below in the poll and let us know your thoughts in the comments. For reference, check out our Top 25 Indoor Performances of the Week. You can also vote in our National Girls Performer of the Week poll
