What was your most memorable race/competition?
My most memorable race was running the 800m at state qualifiers my junior year because it was my first time qualifying for an individual event.

How have you handled the suspension of the 2020 outdoor season?
I still practiced as if we were still in season.

Out of all your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?
Becoming the girls' team captain for track and cross country made me realize I had to set an example for the younger girls and put the team first.

If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your athletic career in high school?
I would have started track in middle school because I feel like I started running late compared to other runners my age.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
Having many people doubt me but it made me work harder to become a better runner.

What will you miss the most?
I will miss running with my teammates and seeing them everyday.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
Do not let people's words tear you down. Work hard and you will see results.

How have your coaches influenced your performances and your life goals?
My coaches would tell us that we can do anything if we work hard.

What kind of impact did your family have on your time as a high school student-athlete?
My mom would workout with me sometimes and push me to work hard.

What are your college or post-high school plans?
I will be attending
Southern Wesleyan University and study pre-veterinary medicine.

What do you hope to achieve after high school?
I plan to attend college and become a veterinarian in the future.

Do you see yourself coaching in the future? Please explain and if so, what level and why?
No, I do not see myself coaching in the future. But if my children end up running I can always volunteer.

Shout-outs?
I want to say thank you to Coach Dieterich for pushing me to become a better runner and Coach Limehouse for being the first coach to see potential in me.

If there is one thing in the world you could do, what would it be and why?
End the coronavirus because it took away our 2020 track season.
