SCISA Track and Field Championships: Storylines for Saturday


scrunners takes a look at Saturday's SCISA track and field meet championships. The meet, after not taking place in 2020, returns to Porter Gaud in Charleston. Editor's note: This is not an extensive list. 


1. Top state sprinters Prescott Jefferson (S.C. no. 1 in 100-meter dash and 200-meter) of Ben Lippen and Aly Conyers of Heathwood Hall are athletes to watch in the sprints. Both make an impact at the state level and more. See where they rank here.

2. Gabby David of Heathwood Hall in the long jump.

3. Tessa Mudd of Charleston Collegiate in the pole vault (ranked no. 2 in the state). 

4. The distance races: Christian Pearson (Heathwood Hall), Madelyn Gomez (Heathwood Hall) and Callie Harper (Porter-Gaud).
