What was your most memorable race/competition?

My most memorable race was Coaches Classic of 2021 because I had the greatest kick of my running career and I won the race.

Out of all your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?

My proudest accomplishment in running was earning third at state as a team in cross country of 2018 because we worked as a team to get there.

If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your athletic career in high school?
If I could do it all again, I would work harder earlier in my career so I can run quicker times earlier in my career.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

Obstacles I had to overcome were my competition from other schools and mental struggle such as pushing myself when I did not want to be pushed.

What will you miss the most?

I will miss my teammates the most because we had a special bond.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?

My advice for younger athletes is to always push yourself and do not be afraid to work hard. A person does not know what they are capable of when they work hard enough.

How have your coaches influenced your performances and your life goals?

My head coach, Coach Hazel, and all of her assistant coaches influenced me in different ways such as learning mental tricks in races, racing strategies, core work, and different techniques to use in specific races. I had plenty of mentors to guide me.

What kind of impact did your family have on your time as a high school student-athlete?

My family has instilled a very strong work ethic in me. Academically I have worked hard to become an honors student and I knew if I applied the same work ethic to athletics I would be successful.

What are your college or post-high school plans?

I plan on attending Winthrop University in majoring in computer science major while competing in cross country and track and field.

What do you hope to achieve after high school?

I hope to achieve a job that I can wake up and look forward to working everyday as an adult because you should love the job you plan on working in life.

Do you see yourself coaching in the future?

I do not plan on coaching as a head coach in the future because I feel as though I do not have enough knowledge on training, team strategies, and building a team. However, I might see myself as an assistant coach one day to help guide certain kids that are troubled and need to get on the right path.

Shout-outs?

I want to give a shout out to my head coach, Coach Hazel, and my teammates Noah Woodbury ,Victor Shellhammer, Griffin McNeish, and Benjamin Eddie for supporting and running with me. My family of course and my friends who supported me along the way. I will always be thankful and appreciative for them.

If there is one thing in the world you could do, what would it be and why?

I would be able to make everyone laugh so that I can make everyone smile together.
