CofC was one of 35 teams to participate in the regional meet at the E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park on the University of Louisville campus. Sprague finished first among the Cougars, finishing the 10k race in 32:35.08. His time ranks him third on the Charleston all-time list.

Bailey posted a time of 33:24.63 to place second on the team. His time puts him seventh on the all-time list.

The Cougars finished 28th as a team with a total of 726 points. The squad finished ahead of Southern Conference foe Wofford, who placed 29th with 793 points and crosstown rival Charleston Southern, who recorded a 33rd-place team finish.

The meet closes out CofC's 2009 campaign.
