Wendy's Invitational: Hilton Head's Felix, Mauldin's Williams fastest for S.C.

Hilton Head's Jack Felix and Mauldin's Brittany Williams ran the fastest times for South Carolina at Wendy's Invitational Saturday at McAlpine Park in Charlotte. 

Felix covered the 5,000-meter course in 15 minutes, 43 seconds, good for a second-place boys open finish. 

Williams ran the course in 18 minutes, 14 seconds for a second-place finish in the girls invitational. 

Hilton Head teammates Jack Manesiotis finished fourth (15:45) and Mackenzie Johnston finished ninth (16:14).

Spartanburg's Anna Todd placed 10th in the girls invitational with a time of 18 minutes, 44 seconds. 

Hilton Head girls rounded out the top three in the open race, five points from second place. Leading Hilton Head was Sara Manesiotis (18:31, second place). Eastside's Caroline Duer finished 10th (19:25).

Wando's Miles Keohane finished second overall in the boys junior and senior race (16:54). Dorman's Cody Ellison finished third (16:57). Keohane's teammate Michael Reamer finished seventh with a time of 17 minutes, 12 seconds.
