This Week's Nominees:
Alex Munguia, Blue Ridge (South Carolina): Swept the sprints at the Rekortan Golden Corner Invitational with PRs in both events, clocking 10.43 in the 100m and 21.35 in the 200m. The 100m time broke his previous best of 10.57 set in March, while his 200m dropped from 21.88 to rank as the #2 junior in the state.
Javen Henderson, Mountain View Prep HS (South Carolina): Posted a new PR of 21.15 in the 200m at the Beach Run Invitational, improving from his previous best of 21.41 set in March. His time ranks him as the top junior in South Carolina in the event this season.
Marquez Franklin, Chesnee (South Carolina): Turned in a massive long jump PR of 24-7 at the Chesnee Home Meet, improving nearly five feet from his previous best of 19-9.79. The mark puts him atop the sophomore rankings in South Carolina, and he also won the 100m in 11.14.
Ben Eikenberry, Wando (South Carolina): Launched the javelin 195-6.46 to win at the Charleston County School District Championship, breaking his PR of 188-8.57 set in March. The throw ranks him second among juniors in the state this season.
Wade Leventis, Waccamaw (South Carolina): Ran a state-leading 48.05 in the 400m at the Beach Run Invitational to claim the top spot in South Carolina rankings. He also competed in the 200m at the same meet, running 21.99.
