Several South Carolina high school track and field athletes posted personal records at meets during the week of April 20.
Isla Struhar (Dreher) ran 5:29.26 in the 1600 meters at the Swansea Tigers Invitational on April 25, improving from her previous best of 6:54.03. The mark places her 94th among 1,367 athletes in South Carolina and earned first place among seven competitors.
Khalil Woodbury (Johnsonville) jumped 21-4.3 in the long jump at Carvers Bay Home Meet 5 on April 23, improving from his previous personal record of 16-8. The sophomore ranks 70th among 1,634 athletes in the state and finished third of 14 competitors.
Oliver Watson (York) cleared 6-2.8 in the high jump at Tri-County 2026 on April 25, improving from his previous best of 5-8.9 set in April 2026. The senior ranks 25th among 660 athletes statewide and 11th among 145 seniors, finishing third of 11 competitors. Watson also set a personal record in pole vault, improving from 9-6.17 to 10-5.98 at the same meet.
Kennedi Hampton (Edisto) ran 15.32 in the 100-meter hurdles at the Swansea Tigers Invitational on April 25, breaking her previous personal record of 16.67 from May 2025. The sophomore's time set a school record for Edisto and ranks 15th among 714 athletes in South Carolina and sixth among 160 sophomores. Hampton won the event among nine competitors.
Adair Wall (Spartanburg Day School) ran 2:21.35 in the 800 meters at the Spartanburg County Invitational on April 21, improving from her previous best of 2:29.34. The mark places her 31st among 1,856 athletes in the state and she finished second among 34 competitors.
Emanuele Cicconi (Southside Christian) ran 9:49.04 in the 3200 meters at the Greenville County Varsity Championships on April 21, improving from his previous personal record of 11:44.63 from April 2025. The sophomore ranks 61st among 1,106 athletes statewide and 11th among 236 sophomores, finishing sixth of 35 competitors.
Robert Roberts (Timberland) jumped 21-4.3 in the long jump at Cane Bay Home Meet #2 on April 22, improving from his previous best of 19-9.01. The senior ranks 70th among 1,634 athletes in South Carolina and 31st among 369 seniors, finishing third of 27 competitors. Roberts also set a personal record in triple jump at the same meet, improving from 40-4.64 to 41-1.31.
